I only have applause for you, I love the new design and I'm dying to see what the others will be like.

I agree with the sentiment of the latter part of what @Renagede77 said. A certain “charm” is lost with the realism, however, I do prefer the new style and after going back and playing the 1 and 2, found myself noticing its faults more and more. I think ideally there would be a slight pull back in the realism to regain the “toony” charm that was originally had while keeping the honestly breathtaking new style largely intact. No doubt, finding that balance would be difficult and would leave some people still discontent, but it seems to me to be the best option.

Final note, @felix.meme made a great suggestion in remaking the previous games. I personally really like that idea, but completely understand why y'all wouldn't go in this direction.

Either way, I have complete faith in the team you've formed to make the choice for OPT, and it's community! Keep up the good work, we all believe in you! 

I really like the older version

I like the old, but the new one looks good too! Would it be possible to have both, like with a setting to switch back in forth for those who like one or the other?

I think you’ve lost a bit of the charm in getting so much focus on the detail. I feel like the world you’ve made is a cartoon world and some of the changes here kinda feel like you’re almost ashamed of that? 
I don’t think some art style updates are a bad idea in and of themselves but they need to feel more like an evolution than a change, if that makes sense.

I think the new style looks great, and you should let the art design evolve as you see fit. 

The new art style is gorgeous but also somewhat generic. Personally, I think the original art style is a better fit. Its cartoony charm is what drew me to these games.

I think such a drastic change would be too much at this point. It is one thing to change some designs, but entire art style is a bit much

I personally like the new direction, but since it is a continuation of the same story it might be weird to change the style completely. Could be fun to do a "remake" of the earlier chapters later on with the new art style once the story is finished though! I would definitely play through again with the new art style

For me, I like the old style more.
The original style is much closer to the actual source material.
The new style isn't bad, but it looks a bit too realistic and loses the "toon" effect.
